Sydney’s sartorial splendour is on show at the Rosemount Sydney Fashion Festival, at which the new Spring Summer Collections of local and international fashion brands are showcased over five days.

Free and ticketed events are included in the range of collection shows, in-store promotions, celebrity events, exhibitions, launches and after parties in and around Sydney. A schedule of lunchtime and evening runway collection shows feature an eclectic mix of what’s on offer for the season, from broad-appeal fashion to independent, ready to wear designer labels.

As the new season fashions start appearing in the stores, they’re also appearing on the catwalks to inspire Sydney’s fashionistas. A purpose-built tent structure in Martin Place, right in the heart of Sydney’s CBD, is central to the shows. Complete with state-of-the-art lighting, sound and staging configurations, it’s the hot spot to see innovative and eclectic fashion offerings from major department stores and independent retail outlets.

Rosemount Australian Fashion Week has more of an industry focus, and happens against the spectacular backdrop of Circular Quay.

Some of Australia and the Asia Pacific’s best designers present their collections to the assembled fashion industry pundits, who in turn help shape the fashion forecasts of the coming season. Designers, retailers, marketers and commentators converge in a meeting of some of Australia’s most creative fashion talent.
